Hey everyone, I’m new to Singapore and staying near Jurong East. I love thrift shopping but have no clue where to start here. I’ve been to a few places but they were either too far or overpriced. Anyone know a good thrift store around Jurong or nearby that has cheap clothes and maybe some home stuff? I’m on a tight student budget so anything helps. Also, if there’s a weekend flea market or something, let me know! I’m free this Saturday and would love to explore. Thanks in advance!

Hey! I totally get the struggle with overpriced thrift stores. Since you're near Jurong East, I'd recommend checking out the Salvation Army Family Thrift Store at Bukit Batok—it's just a short bus ride away and always has decent finds at fair prices. Also, try Hock Thye Trading at Joo Chiat if you're up for a bit of a trip; it's huge and cheap. Avoid the trendy 'vintage' shops in town if you want bang for your buck. Good luck!

Hey! Welcome to Singapore! For thrift stores near Jurong East, check out the Salvation Army at 500 Jurong East Ave 1 – it’s not too far and usually has reasonable prices. Also, try the Sunday flea market at Jurong East Stadium, but go early for best finds. Hope that helps!

Hey, I'm also new to Singapore and near Jurong East! I've been wondering the same thing. Did you try the Salvation Army at Bukit Batok? I heard it's not too far. Also, how do you find the pricing here compared to other places? I'm curious if there's a budget-friendly spot nearby.

Hey, I totally get the struggle! I moved here recently too and spent ages hunting for decent thrift stores around Jurong East. Have you tried the Salvation Army Family Thrift Store at Bukit Batok? It's a short bus ride away and usually has fair prices. Also, check out the flea markets at Sungei Road (though it's a bit of a trek). Hope this helps—thrifting here takes some patience!

Oh, I totally get you! I moved here a few months ago and had the same struggle. Near Jurong East, I'd recommend checking out the Salvation Army Family Thrift Store at 500 Bukit Batok Street 23 – it's a short bus ride away and prices are reasonable. Also, there's a small shop called New2U Thrift in Clementi Mall, but a bit pricier. Hope that helps!

I get your point about overpriced thrift stores, but I actually disagree about the options near Jurong East. Have you tried the Salvation Army Family Thrift Store at 1 Jurong East Street 21? It's fairly priced and has a decent selection. Also, the HDB blocks around there often have random charity donation bins where you can find hidden gems. Maybe give those a shot before ruling out the area entirely.
