I've been living in Çankaya for about 8 months now, and my landlord just hit me with another rent increase — 25% this time. Says it's due to inflation and market rates, but I checked similar apartments in Bahçelievler and they're going for way less. I'm already paying 8500 TL, and now he wants over 10,000. Is this even legal? Anyone else dealing with this crap? I feel like he's taking advantage because I'm a foreigner. Should I push back or just find a new place? I'm a student and can't afford this nonsense. Any advice would be solid.
