Just moved to Taipei from the US and hired a company called 'Taipei Mover' based on a decent Google review. Big mistake. They showed up late, then demanded double the quoted price before unloading. I argued, but they left my stuff on the sidewalk and drove off. I had to get a neighbor's help to haul everything inside. Total nightmare. File a police report? I already posted on a local expat Facebook group and found others who got scammed the same way. They change their name every few months. If you see a moving ad with 'Taipei Mover' or similar, run. And get everything in writing. Anyone know a legit moving company? I'm still recovering.
