Hey everyone, I just moved to Edinburgh from abroad and I'm trying to figure out gyms near Leith. I'm used to cheap, no-frills places back home, but here I see a lot of fancy chains with contracts and joining fees. Anyone know a spot that's straightforward? I just want weights, a few machines, and maybe a shower. I've heard about The Gym Group in the city centre, but it's a bit of a trek. There's also a PureGym near Ocean Terminal? Anyone tried that? Also, what's the deal with council-run places like Leith Victoria? Are they any good? I'm not looking for classes or anything. Just a solid place to lift a few times a week without a huge commitment. Would love some honest reviews – especially if you've been to any of these.
