Just moved to Kampong Glam and thought I’d hired a legit moving company from Carousell. Big mistake. They quoted $300 for a studio apartment, but after loading the truck, they demanded $800 cash before unloading. I refused, so they drove off with my stuff. Called the police, but they said it's a civil matter. Now I’m stuck with no furniture and out $300 deposit. The company was ‘Swift Movers SG’ with a fake UEN. Anyone else dealt with this? Please be careful and always use recommended movers from proper websites. If you have advice on how to get my things back, I’m desperate.
