Be careful with 'Sunshine Movers' in Nassau. I hired them to move my stuff from Cable Beach to Lyford Cay. They quoted $250, but after loading the truck, they demanded $600 cash or they'd leave my things on the street. I had no choice but to pay. Then they dropped my boxes in the rain and left. Some furniture is damaged. I'm new here, so maybe I should've known better. Has anyone dealt with this? Any legal options or ways to report them? Just want to warn others to get a written contract and not fall for the bait-and-switch. This sucks.

Sorry to hear about Sunshine Movers, that's a classic bait-and-switch. Next time try 'Island Wide Movers' on Shirley Street—they're licensed and give binding quotes. Also check the Bahamas Consumer Protection Commission before hiring anyone. Hope you get your stuff sorted quickly.

Sorry to hear about Sunshine Movers! That's a classic bait-and-switch. For future moves, try 'Island Movers' or 'Bahama Brothers' – they're licensed and give fixed quotes. Also check the Consumer Protection Commission before hiring. It's rough as a newcomer, but always get everything in writing.
