Hey everyone, just relocated to LA from overseas and I'm starting my job search. I've heard the market here is tough, but I'm not sure where to begin. Any advice on the best websites or recruiting agencies for international professionals? Also, I keep seeing ads for 'guaranteed job placement' services – are those legit or scams? I'd appreciate any tips on networking events or meetups too. Thanks!

Oh man, that's awesome! I just moved here from Brazil and found a killer mid-century coffee table on the curb in Silver Lake. People here throw away such good stuff. Hi, I respectfully disagree with grabbing furniture off the curb here. In my home country, we didn't do that, and I'm a bit cautious about bed bugs or other pests. Also, I think you should check local rules—some areas require a permit to take items from the street. Maybe it's safer to buy used furniture from a thrift store instead, just to be sure.
