Just moved to Kota Kinabalu for work and I need a dentist – nothing urgent, just a check-up and cleaning. I've been googling but can't tell which clinics are good. Anyone have a recommendation for a dentist near the city center? Preferably someone who's gentle and actually explains things. I'm near Sadong Jaya if that helps. Also, do I need to make an appointment or can I just walk in? Back home I'd just show up, but here I'm not sure. Thanks in advance!

Hey, welcome to KK! For English-speaking dentists, I'd recommend Klinik Pergigian Dynasty in Damai or Smile Dental in Lintas. Both have good reviews and the dentists are fluent in English. I've been to Dynasty myself for cleanings and they're thorough. Prices are reasonable too. Hope that helps!
