Hey everyone! I'm moving to Christchurch next month for work and starting to look for a place to rent. I've heard mixed things about some areas – like is Linwood actually as dodgy as people say? And what about Riccarton? I saw a cheap apartment near the university but I'm not sure if it's a good spot. I'm coming from a pretty safe city so I'm a bit nervous. Also, is the city centre safe at night? I'd love to be close to things but also don't want to end up somewhere sketchy. Any recommendations for affordable, safe suburbs for a single person? Thanks a ton!
