Hey everyone, I just moved to Brisbane from overseas and I'm having a tough time understanding people here. I went to a café in West End and ordered a flat white, but the barista asked if I wanted it 'with a dash of moo juice' - I was so confused! Turns out it's milk? Lol. Then at the grocery store in Indooroopilly, the cashier said 'no wukkas' and I thought she was talking about something else. Is this normal? I feel like I'm missing half the conversation. Also, people keep calling me 'love' and 'mate' - is that friendly or weird? Any advice on learning the lingo or common phrases I should know? I don't want to seem rude by not understanding. Thanks!
