Hey everyone! I just moved to Edmonton from overseas and I'm really excited to explore the city. I heard there's always something going on here, but I have no idea where to start. Can you guys tell me about any cool local events coming up? I'm into all kinds of stuff – music, food, outdoor festivals, you name it. I saw something about the Edmonton International Street Performers Festival but I'm not sure when that is. Also, is the Whyte Avenue Art Walk still a thing? I'm totally clueless about the local scene, so any tips would be awesome. Bonus points if it's cheap or free – I'm on a student budget! Thanks a million!

If it's your first time, I'd actually suggest starting with the Distillery District or Queen West near Trinity Bellwoods. Kensington is awesome but can be a bit chaotic with narrow streets and crowds. The Distillery is more relaxed with pedestrian-only cobblestone paths, cool galleries, and cafes — easier to navigate while you get your bearings. Then you can work your way up to Kensington when you're ready for the hustle!

If you want something more relaxed to start, maybe the Distillery District or Queen West? Have you checked out any maps yet? Let me know what sounds good!
