Best Sunday roast in Manchester city centre?

Visiting friends in Manchester next weekend and they've put me in charge of finding a Sunday roast. Pressure's on. Looking for somewhere in or near the city centre — proper roast, good beef, crispy roasties, none of that 'deconstructed' nonsense. Budget is around 20 quid per person max. What's everyone's go-to?

Getting put in charge of the Sunday roast booking is the highest honour. No pressure but also all the pressure.

How many people and what time? Makes a difference on where you can get a table. If it's more than four on a Sunday, most good places want a booking by Thursday latest.

Honestly Manchester roasts are fine but if you really want the best you need to get out to the Peak District. The pubs in Edale and Castleton do roasts that blow anything in the city away. Worth the train ride.
