Hey everyone! I just moved to Istanbul for a master's at Boğaziçi and I'm desperately hunting for a room. I've been checking sahibinden and some Facebook groups but it's overwhelming and I keep getting ghosted. My budget is around 5000-7000 TL. Need something close to campus or with easy transport. Anyone know a reliable way to find a place? Or if you have a room, hit me up! Also, any tips on avoiding rental scams? I heard about fake listings asking for deposit before viewing. Thanks!

Hey, I feel you! I moved here a year ago with just basic Turkish. Marketing jobs are out there, but you'll have better luck with international companies or startups that use English. Check out Kariyer.net and LinkedIn, and maybe look into teaching English as a backup. Networking helped me a lot – try expat groups on Facebook. Good luck!
