Okay, I just moved here a few weeks ago from a small city where the tallest thing was a church steeple. So maybe I’m easily impressed, but I wandered into Gardens by the Bay around 5pm yesterday and stayed until after dark. The Supertrees lighting up one by one? My jaw literally dropped. And the Cloud Forest dome felt like walking into another planet. I’m still not over it.
Is this something locals just get used to? Because I don’t think I ever will. Also, are there other spots around Marina Bay that have that same “wow” factor? I’ve done the Merlion and the ArtScience Museum, but I’m looking for free or cheap nature-ish places where I can just sit and stare. Thanks in advance – still learning my way around!
