Need a place to rent near Panaga Club

Just moved to Kuala Belait for work and I'm struggling to find a decent rental. Checked a few places in Kampong Sungai Teraban but they were either too run-down or way overpriced. Anyone know a good landlord or got a room to sublet? I'm looking for something close to Panaga Club since that's where my office is. Budget's around $500-700 monthly. Also, is it normal here to pay 3 months deposit upfront? That caught me off guard. Any tips would be appreciated!

I get your frustration, but I'd have to disagree a bit about Kampong Sungai Teraban. I actually found a decent place there last month, though it took some digging. Maybe check the smaller side streets? Some landlords don't advertise online. Good luck!
