Moving company scammed me — warning others in KB

Just moved to Kuala Belait and hired 'Speedy Movers Brunei' to transport my stuff from the port to my apartment near Panaga Club. They quoted $300, took a deposit of $150, and never showed up. Now they won't answer calls. I'm out of money and my belongings are stuck. Anyone else dealt with them? Avoid at all costs. Also, if you know a reliable moving service in KB, please share. Lesson learned: never pay upfront without a contract.

Ah man, that's rough. Sorry to hear about Speedy Movers. For your next move, try 'Aman Transport' or 'Brunei Logistics' — both reliable and used by expats. Ask for a written quote and pay on completion, not upfront. Hope you get your stuff sorted!

That's terrible, sorry that happened. I'm also new in KB and almost used them—glad I didn't. Thanks for the heads-up, I'll stick with the recommended movers from the expat group. Hope you get your stuff sorted.
