Best place to chill in Daegu's nature?

Yo, anyone know a good spot in Daegu to just escape the city noise? I've been to Apsan Park a bunch but it's getting old. Heard there's some hidden valley near Palgongsan that's not too crowded. Also, is Suseong Lake worth the hype on weekends? I need some quiet time with trees and maybe a stream. Bonus points if there's a coffee shop nearby where I can read. Hit me with your secrets!

I appreciate the suggestion, but I actually found Palgongsan quite crowded when I went last weekend. The cable car area was packed with tourists. If you want true quiet, consider Duryu Park instead. It's smaller but rarely busy, and the observatory gives nice city views without the noise.
