I’ve been living on Paradise Island for a few months now and I still can’t keep up with the faster Creole conversations. People switch between English and Bahamian dialect so quickly, I just nod and smile but miss half of what’s said. At the market near Marina Village, I tried to ask for directions and the lady replied in a thick accent — I ended up walking in circles for 20 minutes 😅. Is there a crash course or a local hangout where I can practice without feeling totally lost? I really want to connect more but this language wall is real. Any tips or meetups would help a ton.
