Hey everyone! I just landed in Nis yesterday and I’m totally lost but super excited. I’ll be here for at least six months studying Serbian, so I need to find a place to rent. My budget is tight—like €250-350 for a studio. I’ve heard about ‘Stari Grad’ being central but is it crazy loud at night? Also, someone mentioned ‘Durlan’ is chill and cheap but I don’t even know where that is. I walked around ‘Palilula’ today and it felt a bit sketchy after dark—am I wrong? My Serbian is basically zero so I need a spot with some English-speaking neighbors or at least a café where people don’t stare. Also, is it true that ‘Bulevar Nemanjica’ has good bus connections? I’m too scared to use the buses yet haha. Any tips on areas with greenery or a park nearby? Thanks a ton!
