Okay so I've been in Liverpool for about three weeks now, and I keep hearing people say 'fancy a cheeky Nando's?' like it's some kind of ritual. I finally went last night to the one on Bold Street, and... I mean, it was decent chicken, but nothing mind-blowing? My flatmate acted like I'd committed a crime for not getting extra peri-peri sauce. Is there a secret menu I'm missing? Also, why do people queue up outside like it's a nightclub? Genuinely curious if I'm missing something culturally, because back home it's just another chain. Also, random: why do Brits say 'you alright?' and then walk away before you answer? I keep starting to tell them about my day and they're gone. Liverpool's amazing though – the waterfront is stunning, and I love the accents. Just trying to figure out the unwritten rules!
