Hey everyone! I just moved to Brisbane from overseas and I’m struggling to find a decent place to study or work remotely. I tried the State Library but it was packed and kinda noisy. Is there a secret quiet corner there I’m missing? I also went to a café near South Bank – nice coffee but the WiFi was super slow and the music was way too loud for focusing. I’m looking for somewhere with reliable internet, power outlets, and not too many people talking. Someone mentioned the Edge at the library? Or maybe the University of Queensland library? I’m not a student though – can I still use their spaces? Any tips would be awesome! I just need a calm spot to get my work done without feeling like I'm in a food court. Cheers!

Honestly, if you've only got one afternoon, I'd skip South Bank. It's nice, but more of a locals' chill spot. For a first-timer, head to the City Botanic Gardens or take a ferry to Kangaroo Point for the best city views. South Bank's better when you've already done the highlights.
