Hey everyone! I just landed in Brisbane a few weeks ago from overseas, and I'm totally lost on where to settle down. I've been staying in a hostel near the city, but it's chaotic and I need something more long-term. I'm looking for a neighborhood that's safe, has decent public transport, and maybe some cafes or parks to chill at. I heard South Bank is nice with the river and markets, but is it affordable for a student? Also, what about West End or New Farm? Someone told me Paddington has cool old houses but hills are killer. I'm not sure if I should aim for something closer to UQ or QUT. Any advice on suburbs that are friendly for newbies like me? I just want somewhere I won't feel completely out of place. Thanks a ton!
