Hey everyone! I just moved to Singapore for uni and I'm trying to find quiet places to study or do some work around Marina Bay. I live near there, but every café I've tried so far is either super crowded or crazy expensive (like $8 for a coffee??). I went to the public library at the Esplanade—it was nice but I felt like I was in a museum and couldn't really settle in. Is there anywhere nearby where I can just sit for a few hours with my laptop without feeling like I have to constantly buy stuff? Maybe a hidden gem? I heard about the new reading room at the Asian Civilisations Museum but not sure if it's open to everyone. Also, are there any cheap food courts where I can grab a quick meal and then study? I'm a bit lost, so any tips would be awesome! Thanks in advance!

Hey, I'm also new to Singapore and living near Marina Bay! I feel your pain—so many cafés are packed. Have you tried the library at the National Museum? It's free and usually quiet. Also, I heard the coffee shops in some office buildings are empty on weekends. Any luck finding a spot yet?
