Hey everyone! I just moved to Freeport a couple weeks ago and I'm still figuring out where to eat. I've tried a few spots near the port but I'm craving some real local flavors. Anybody have go-to places for conch fritters or fresh fish? Also, is there a market where locals buy seafood directly from the fishermen? I heard about the Straw Market but not sure if that's just souvenirs. My apartment is near Taino Beach, so anything walkable from there would be awesome. Thanks in advance for the tips! 😊

Oh, you're new here too? I've been in Freeport for a month and honestly, the 'local flavors' thing is tricky—most places feel touristy. Have you tried the fish fry at the Port Lucaya Marketplace? It's not hidden, but it's real. Or if you're brave, ask a taxi driver where they eat; that's how I found a backyard conch spot. What's 'local' to you?
