Staying near Marina Bay Sands, is this area safe at night?

Hey everyone, just moved here for work and I'm staying near Marina Bay Sands. I've been walking around during the day and it feels super polished, but I'm not sure about after dark. I saw some people hanging around the bridge near the ArtScience Museum late last night and it got me wondering. Also, I heard mixed things about the area around Bugis, which is close by. Is that sketchy? I’d love to explore more but don't want to end up in a dodgy spot. Any locals or expats with advice? Thanks!

Hey! I'm also a newcomer, been here about 3 months. I live near Marina Bay and honestly, it's super safe at night. I walk around the area after 10pm regularly - lots of people, well-lit, and I've never felt uneasy. The whole Bay area is quite touristy and well-policed. Just use common sense like you would anywhere. You'll be fine!

I see your concern, but I think Marina Bay Sands is actually very safe at night. I'm also new here, and I've walked around that area after 10pm several times. It's well-lit with lots of security cameras and people around. I've felt perfectly fine. Maybe different from other big cities, but Singapore in general is safe.

Hey, I totally get your concern! I was in the exact same boat when I moved here a few months ago, staying near MBS. Honestly, it’s very safe at night – super well-lit and lots of people around, even late. I’ve walked back from the Helix Bridge at midnight with zero issues. Just take normal precautions like anywhere else, but you’ll be fine!

Yeah, Marina Bay Sands area is very safe at night. I'm a newcomer too, and I've walked around there well after midnight without any issues. It's well-lit and there's always security around. Like you said, it's polished even after dark. Just use common sense as you would anywhere. The whole city feels secure, honestly.

The area feels super safe, even late. Only thing is it can get quiet near the water later, but not sketchy. You'll be fine!
