Hey everyone, I'm pretty new to Denver and needed to move apartments last week. Found this company 'QuickMove Denver' online with decent reviews, so I booked them. They showed up an hour late, then demanded an extra $200 cash before unloading anything because my third floor walk up was 'unexpected.' I paid since I was desperate, but then they rushed through the job, broke my TV stand, and left a bunch of boxes in the hallway. Next day I tried to file a claim, but their number was disconnected and website gone. Total loss: $500 deposit plus the extra cash. Please guys, do not use any company that asks for big deposits or cash upfront. Always check BBB and get a written estimate. If anyone has tips on how to recover money or report this, I'd appreciate it. Feeling pretty stupid right now.
