Hey everyone, just wanted to give you a heads-up about a moving company that totally ripped me off. I hired "Taipei Mover" (yeah, I know, generic name) to move my stuff from a rental in Xinyi to another place nearby. They quoted 5,000 TWD over the phone, but after loading everything, they jacked up the price to 12,000, claiming extra fees for stairs and distance. I had no choice but to pay. Then they rushed, dropped my desk (now it's cracked), and left a bag behind. When I called, they denied everything. I'm out a lot of money and my desk is ruined. Anyone dealt with this company or have recs for a honest mover in Xinyi? Also, is there a way to report these scammers? Feeling pretty stupid and angry right now. Don't make my mistake – get a written contract upfront!
