Hey everyone! I'm a student from abroad and just moved to Taipei. I'm looking at Xinyi District because it seems central and lively, but I'm not sure which neighborhood is best for someone on a budget yet close to the action. I've been looking around the 101 area but rent seems crazy high. Any recommendations near Taipei Medical University or maybe around象山 (Elephant Mountain) that aren't too pricey? I'd love to be near a night market or an MRT station, but I don't want to blow my savings. Also, is it safe to walk around at night in places like Wufenpu or Yongchun? Sorry if these are dumb questions, but I'm still figuring things out here. Thanks in advance for the tips!
