Hey folks, I was walking my dog near High Park yesterday and this super friendly orange tabby came up to me. No collar, but he's clearly someone's pet—he's clean, well-fed, and loves being pet. He followed me all the way to my apartment near Bloor and Keele. I can't keep him (landlord says no pets), but I don't want to just leave him out in the cold tonight. Anyone recognize this cat? Or if you're looking to adopt, he's a sweetheart. I'll post a pic in the comments. Let me know if you can help—otherwise I'll take him to the Toronto Humane Society tomorrow. Thanks!

Chloe
I'd recommend checking with the High Park Animal Hospital or posting on the Lost & Found Pets of Toronto Facebook group. Also, try leaving a note at the nearby community center. He might just be a neighborhood explorer, but better safe than sorry!

I appreciate your concern, but I have to disagree about him being someone's pet. I've seen that orange tabby around High Park for months—he's actually a well-known community cat. Several neighbors feed him, which explains why he's clean and friendly. If he were lost, his owners would have posted flyers by now. Please consider getting him scanned for a microchip before assuming he's stray.
