Hey y'all, I'm a native English speaker looking to trade conversational practice for your local language (Mandarin or Shanghainese). I'm decent with tones but need real street talk – like how to haggle at the wet market or order street food without getting the tourist price 😅. I live near Jing'an Temple, so can meet at a coffee shop around there or hit up a random alley for some noodles while we chat. I promise I'm patient and won't just talk about the weather – I want to know the good gossip, local legends, and which baozi spot is actually worth the queue.
