Just moved to Hong Kong and staying in Wan Chai near the Happy Valley area. I’m into bouldering and saw there’s a place called V China in a random industrial building on Johnston Road. The entrance looks super sketchy – like a hidden gym from a movie. Anyone been there? Is it legit or just a waste of money? Also, any local climbing spots or groups that meet up on weekends? I’m pretty lost trying to find real info online. Would love to join a casual session if anyone’s down. Still trying to figure out the MTR routes too, so somewhere near Wan Chai or Causeway Bay would be ideal. Thanks!

I actually have tried V China, and I have to respectfully disagree with the positive vibe. The setting felt old and dusty, with holds that were greasy from lack of cleaning. Maybe it's just me, but coming from a modern gym elsewhere, it was a letdown. If you're near Happy Valley, check out Just Climb or Verm City instead—way better maintained and more challenging routes, in my opinion.
