Hey everyone! I'm a student from abroad and just got accepted to the University of Novi Sad. I'm searching for a room or small apartment near the campus, preferably walking distance or a quick bus ride. My budget is around €250-350 including utilities. I've checked a few sites but most listings are in Serbian and I'm still learning. Any recommendations for websites or Facebook groups where landlords speak English? Also, is it normal to pay a deposit upfront? I saw one place asking for 3 months rent as deposit and that seemed high. Also, any neighborhoods to avoid? I heard Liman is popular but maybe expensive. Thanks in advance for any tips! I'm excited to move to Novi Sad but feeling a bit lost with the housing hunt.
