Watch out for MoveEase Scam in Gadong

Hey everyone, just wanted to warn you about a moving company called MoveEase. I hired them to move my stuff from Kiulap to Gadong. They quoted $150, but after loading everything, they demanded $400, saying my furniture was 'oversized.' I had no choice but to pay because they had my stuff. Then they dumped it all in a random parking lot near The Mall and drove off. Some boxes were missing, and my TV was cracked. I'm new to Brunei and didn't know any better. Anyone else had this experience? Where can I report them? Avoid them at all costs.

Hmm, that's rough, but are you sure it's a scam? Could be a misunderstanding on the quote. I've used movers here before and always got a written estimate. Did you sign anything? Without that, it's hard to fight. Maybe check with the consumer affairs office before labeling them a scam outright.

Thanks for the heads-up! That's really shady. For moves in Brunei, I've used AJ Movers and they were reliable—they stuck to their quote. Also heard good things about B-Move. Always get a written quote and avoid paying upfront. Hope this helps someone avoid the same hassle.
