Hey everyone, I just landed in Hamilton a few days ago and I'm trying to find a flat. I've been checking Trade Me and Facebook groups, but it's a bit overwhelming. I'm looking for something near the city center or around the University of Waikato. Anyone know which suburbs are good for a student? Also, what's the deal with bond and references – do landlords usually ask for both? I saw a place on Grey Street that looked nice, but I'm not sure if that area is safe. Any advice would be awesome.
