Anyone else get annoyed when you're trying to explain something simple and the other person just stares? I was at the fruit market by Green Lake yesterday, trying to ask if the mangos are sweet, and the vendor kept nodding but handed me the wrong ones. I swear I've been studying Chinese but when I'm nervous it all goes out the window. Maybe I need to practice more with locals. Anyone know a good language exchange group in Kunming? Or just want to grab a beer and help me order in Chinese? 😅
