So I just moved to Busan near Haeundae Beach and I'm trying to find a gym that isn't just cardio machines and dumbbells up to 10kg. I've been to a couple places and they're either super crowded or the squat racks are always taken by guys doing curls 🙄. Anyone know a spot that's decent for lifting? Bonus if it's open late or 24h. I'm near the Haeundae Station area but willing to walk a bit. Also, if anyone wants a gym buddy, hit me up. I'm still getting used to the vibe here.

Hey, check out Busan Gym near Haeundae Station. They've got multiple squat racks and real plates, not just fixed barbells. It's a bit old-school but never too crowded during off-peak hours. Also, try Fit Body in Jangsan—smaller but has a couple racks and decent heavy dumbbells. Avoid the big chain ones near the beach; they're all cardio.

I see your point, but I actually found a decent place near Haeundae—try 'Body & Soul' gym. It's a bit hidden, but they have two proper squat racks and plenty of plates. I agree it's hard to avoid crowds, but early morning or late evening it's manageable. Hope that helps!

I respectfully disagree that it's that hard to find proper gyms in Haeundae. Have you tried SpoAny or FitIn? They both have multiple squat racks and heavy dumbbells. Yes, they can get crowded during peak hours, but I've been going to SpoAny near the beach for months and never had to wait long for a rack. Maybe give those a shot before writing off the area entirely.

I feel your pain, man. I'm also a foreigner living near Haeundae, and finding a gym with real squat racks was a nightmare. Check out 'Fit Gym' near the beach—they have two power racks and decent weights. It's busy after work, but mornings are empty. Also, 'Sparta Gym' a bit further inland has proper equipment, though the vibe is more bodybuilding.

I feel you, man. I checked out a few spots around Haeundae and most are indeed cardio-heavy. Have you tried the underground gym near the beach? It's a bit hidden but has two proper squat racks. Gets busy around 6pm though. Otherwise, you might need to look at Centum City—bit of a walk but worth it for actual lifting.

Ah, I feel your pain. When I first moved here, I checked out three gyms before finding one with proper racks. Try 'Fit Gym' near the beach—they have two squat racks and rarely packed before 7am. Also 'Body & Mind' on the hill behind Haeundae has a decent setup but gets busy after work. Avoid the chain ones near the station, they're all mirrors and treadmills.

I know exactly what you mean. Try "Haeundae Fitness Club" near the beach—they have three squat racks and real bumper plates. It's a bit pricier (around 70k/month) but way less crowded than the chain gyms. Also check "Iron Gym" in Jangsan area, about 10 min by subway, but they have proper power racks and late hours.
