Hey everyone, I'm trying to find a rental near the city center but not too touristy. I've been scouting around Beiyuanmen and it's a bit too loud at night. Anyone know of any hidden gems around the Muslim Quarter – like a quiet hutong with decent studios? Also, I heard there's a complex near the South Gate that's affordable but can't find it online. Is it worth just walking around and asking random security guards? I'm so done with agents who show me places that smell like old socks. Budget's around 2000-3000 RMB. Any tips for negotiating with landlords who don't speak English? Feeling a bit overwhelmed but also excited – Xi'an's vibe is unmatched. Thanks in advance!
