Hey everyone! I just moved to Kaohsiung last week for a language program, and I'm already hitting a wall with the paperwork. I need to open a bank account, but the teller at the bank near Formosa Boulevard said I need my ARC first. But to get the ARC, the immigration office says I need a bank statement? How does that even work? I'm so lost. Also, does anyone know if a bank near Sanduo Shopping Area is easier for foreigners? I tried asking at a 7-Eleven but the poor clerk just smiled and nodded. Feeling a bit frustrated but also kinda amused at how tangled this is. Any tips would be amazing!
