Hey everyone! I just arrived in Sydney last week from overseas, and I'm trying to figure out which areas are safe to live in. I've heard mixed things about some suburbs like Redfern and Kings Cross – are they really that dodgy? I walked through Darlinghurst the other day and it seemed okay but a bit sketchy at night. Also, what about Parramatta? Someone told me it's dangerous but others say it's fine. I'm on a budget so I'm looking at places near the city like Surry Hills or Newtown – are those alright? And is Bondi really as safe as everyone says? I don't want to end up in a bad spot. Cheers for any tips! I'm excited but also a bit nervous about getting this right.
