Spent a weekend in the Moravia wine region and I am baffled that more people do not know about it. Rolling hills covered in vineyards, beautiful villages with traditional wine cellars, and wine that is genuinely excellent and almost unknown outside the country. Stayed in a family-run guesthouse where the owner took us on a tour of his cellar and we tasted eight different wines. The Palava region is particularly beautiful. This is the Czech Republic that exists beyond the tourist trail.
