Found Tasek Merimbun, Brunei largest lake, almost by accident and it was one of the highlights of my time here. The lake is surrounded by peat swamp forest and the water is dark and still. Walked the boardwalk through the forest, saw pitcher plants and monitor lizards, and had the whole place almost to myself. The silence was extraordinary. Brunei has so many natural places that are completely undiscovered by tourists. This is one of the best.
