Drove up to the Yukon in February specifically to see the Northern Lights and I am still not over it. Stood in a field at minus 30 degrees watching green and purple curtains of light ripple across the entire sky for two hours. The silence was absolute except for the crunch of snow underfoot. My camera could not capture it properly. Some things you just have to be present for. The cold was brutal but I would do it again without hesitation. The Yukon in winter is extraordinary.
