I am moving to Toronto in November and I need to buy a car. I have never driven in snow before. Do I legally need winter tires in Ontario? What is the difference between all-season and winter tires in practice? I have heard the roads are generally well-maintained but I am still nervous about driving in icy conditions. Are there any driving courses for people new to winter driving? Any practical advice from people who made the same adjustment would be really helpful.
