Planning my first trip to Bali and I really want to learn to surf. I have heard Kuta is the classic beginner spot but also that it is very crowded and the beach is not that clean. Are there better options for a complete beginner? I have heard Seminyak and Canggu are popular but I am not sure if they are suitable for someone who has never surfed before. How many lessons does it typically take to stand up? And what is the typical cost for a lesson?
