Visited the Mulu Caves in Sarawak and the Sarawak Chamber is genuinely incomprehensible in scale. The largest cave chamber in the world is so big that you cannot see the walls or ceiling from the center - it is like standing in a dark sky. The Deer Cave, where millions of bats emerge at dusk in a column that stretches for kilometers, is one of the great wildlife spectacles in Asia. Mulu is remote and requires a flight from Kuching but it is one of the most extraordinary places I have visited.
