Did a guided night walk in Taman Negara and it was one of the most memorable experiences of my time in Malaysia. The jungle at night is completely different - the sounds are louder, the darkness is absolute beyond the torch beam, and the wildlife is everywhere. Saw a flying squirrel glide between trees, watched a tarantula emerge from its burrow, and heard something large moving in the undergrowth that the guide said was probably a tapir. The guide was brilliant. Do not skip the night walk.
