Spent a week at the Edinburgh Fringe and I am already planning to go back for longer next year. The sheer volume of shows is overwhelming in the best way - comedy, theatre, dance, spoken word, things that defy categorization. Saw eight shows in four days, ranging from a one-man show in a converted broom cupboard to a large venue comedy set. The city itself transforms completely. Every street has performers, every pub has a show. It is exhausting and exhilarating and unlike anything else.
