I have been in Prague for two months and I want to start exploring the surrounding area on weekends. I have heard about Cesky Krumlov, Kutna Hora, and Karlovy Vary but I am not sure which to prioritize. I only have one or two days at a time. Which ones are genuinely worth the journey and which are a bit disappointing in person? Also wondering about transport - are trains reliable or is it better to rent a car? Any recommendations from people who have done these trips?
