Been apartment hunting for 3 months:

1. The jeonse system is genuinely confusing. Landlords hold your money for 2 years with no interest and you get it back? How is this still a thing?
2. The 3-4 floor preference is REAL. Every Korean family refuses the 2nd floor because of ghosts.
3. Schools matter for real. Priced out of Gangnam so looking at Gwangjin-gu. The hagwon density is insane.
4. Pet deposits are a scam. 'Pet friendly' usually means pay 3 months extra deposit.
