I have a long weekend free and I am trying to decide between Gdansk and Wroclaw. I have heard both are beautiful but very different. Gdansk is on the Baltic coast and has the Solidarity history. Wroclaw has the gnomes and the market square. Which would people who have been to both recommend? I am interested in history, architecture, and good food. Is one significantly better than the other or is it just a matter of preference?
